Manuel tossed from Mets' Bronx finale
Manager ejected by home-plate ump Wolf in sixth inning
NEW YORK -- Mets manager Jerry Manuel was ejected from Sunday afternoon's game against the Yankees after arguing a called third strike to David Wright.
With one out in the sixth inning and the Mets trailing, 13-0, against A.J. Burnett, home-plate umpire Jim Wolf called a low third strike on Wright. Manuel bounded out of the dugout to argue, and Wolf promptly ejected him.
It marked the third time Manuel has been thrown out of a game this season.
