This is what you call scoreboard-watching.The MLB.com Scoreboard page, already one of the top reasons fans come to baseball's Internet home, is now the best place to watch exclusive Live Look-Ins. That feature has been integrated into the popular page where everyone goes to find out who's winning or losing.
When games are in-progress, the Scoreboard page will periodically show a Live Look-In at the action in one of the ballparks. That will be represented with yellow highlighting of the familiar linescore, and this will automatically pop up a Live Look-In window. You can disable the auto function and choose it manually if you wish.
If there are simultaneous games being played, the Live Look-In will be randomly selected. It will always be worth watching no matter what team you like, because from this point forward the pennant races will get more and more interesting. You want to see how your competition looks, just as you want to see how your own team is doing.
The Live Look-Ins are brief streams of in-progress games without blackout restrictions, and a glimpse of the feed that fans can enjoy with a subscription to MLB.com Premium. A subscription is $69.95 for the remainder of the year or $19.95 per month. Fans also can order a subscription to basic MLB.TV for $49.95 yearly or $14.95 per month.
If you are like most people on MLB.com, you will find your way to the Scoreboard page at least once today. You might be looking for your team's updated score. You might be looking to see what the competition is up to. You might be wanting to see if Joe Mauer got another hit in his bid for .400. Whatever the reason, try out the newest look in "scoreboard watching."
