Notre Dame and Army likely to meet in Bronx in 2010
Amid reports that Notre Dame and Army are set to engage in the first college football game at the new Yankee Stadium, the Yankees will hold a Monday media conference to make a college football-related announcement.The 4 p.m. ET media event in Yankee Stadium will concern a "major announcement regarding college football," according to the baseball club. The New York Times Herald-Record was the first to report that the Fighting Irish have agreed to play the next chapter of their traditional game against Army, scheduled for the 2010 season, in the Bronx. According to the newspaper, which cited an Army source, the military academy will also play in Yankee Stadium in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 seasons.
