Victorino greets RBI champs from Hawaii

Softball team to be honored on field before Game 4

11/01/09 5:15 PM EST

Shane Victorino of the Phillies will say Aloha to a group of girls from his home state before Game 4 of the World Series on Sunday.

The Flyin' Hawaiian will greet a team of kids from the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island which won the girls softball championship in the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities version of the World Series. The girls, from Hilo, Hawaii, attended Game 4 as guests of Major League Baseball, as did the junior and senior baseball champs from the Venice, Calif., Boys and Girls Club.

The RBI program gives kids an opportunity to play baseball and softball and also teaches life skills. The Big Island team beat a squad from Cleveland in the RBI Softball World Series in August.

The winning teams were to take the field prior to Game 4 to help present a $1 million check to the RBI program from accounting firm KPMG.
