Sabathia to appear on 'The Jay Leno Show'

Yankees ace will take part in 'Ten@Ten' segment

11/06/09 12:30 AM EST

When Jimmy Rollins appeared on "The Jay Leno Show" prior to the World Series, he famously declared the Phillies would beat the Yankees in five games.

"If we're nice, we'll let it go six," Rollins added.

On Friday, CC Sabathia will make an appearance on the show to prove just how wrong Philadelphia's shortstop was.

Sabathia, the Yankees' ace left-hander who posted a 3.29 ERA in two World Series starts, will be talking to Leno in a "Ten@Ten" segment during Friday's show, which airs on NBC at 10 p.m. ET, about his team's 4-2 series win over the Phillies in the Fall Classic.

The new "Ten@Ten" segment connects Leno via satellite with celebrities and newsmakers from around the world, and it's the same venue in which Rollins made his prediction.

Others who have participated in the segment include Michelle Obama, Justin Timberlake, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Miley Cyrus, LeBron James, Ben Roethlisberger and Jerry Jones, among others.
