Wilkerson signs Minor League deal
Veteran outfielder won't participate in big league camp
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Phillies confirmed a report they have signed outfielder Brad Wilkerson to a Minor League contract.
Wilkerson will not participate in Major League camp.
Wilkerson played two games last season for Pawtucket, the Triple-A affiliate of the Red Sox. He last played in the Majors in 2008, when he hit a combined .220 with four home runs and 28 RBIs in 309 at-bats for the Mariners and the Blue Jays.
Wilkerson is a career .247 hitter with 122 homers and 399 RBIs in eight seasons for the Expos, Nationals, Rangers, Mariners and Blue Jays.
