Phanatic Around Town campaign to launch
Public art project to place statues of mascot around Philly
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Expect to see plenty of Phillie Phanatic statues around Philadelphia in the near future.
The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation and the Phillies will unveil the "Phanatic Around Town" public art project Monday at Citizens Bank Park. The project ties into the GPTMC's latest marketing campaign.

The project, which includes the involvement of local tourist attractions, launches in late March.
The first statue will be in Clearwater for Wednesday's exhibition game against Florida State at Bright House Field. The statue stands five-feet tall, weighs 100 pounds and took approximately 30 hours to paint.
