All-Star events registration starts Wednesday
Fans will be picked by random selection system online
ANAHEIM -- Registration to buy tickets to the 2010 MLB All-Star Summer events at Angel Stadium, sold online through a random selection system, begins Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET at MLB.com.
The All-Star Summer events include the 81st MLB All-Star Game on July 13, the Gatorade All-Star Workout Day featuring the State Farm Home Run Derby on July 12, and Taco Bell All-Star Sunday on July 11, featuring the XM All-Star Futures Game and Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.
Fans who are selected through the online ticket opportunity can purchase up to two ticket strips: Each strip includes one ticket to each ballpark event and two tickets to the MLB All-Star FanFest, held at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The All-Star FanFest, a baseball amusement park that will occupy more than 450,000 square feet, includes memorabilia, life-size video batting and pitching cages, free autograph sessions with former players and more. FanFest tickets work on a timed entry basis, allowing fans to reserve their entrance time of choice.
Fans can visit MLB.com, allstargame.com, angelsbaseball.com and any of the other 29 Major League team sites to register. One entry per person is accepted. The deadline to register is 8 p.m. ET on May 21, and winners will be notified via e-mail on or about May 28.
A limited number of wheelchair-accessible tickets for ballpark events will also be made available through the online selection system. Individuals requiring wheelchair-accessible seats will be able to check a box indicating as much on their entry forms.
Angels season-ticket holders will be offered the opportunity to purchase tickets for both the FanFest and Summer events.
Individual tickets for MLB All-Star FanFest and Taco Bell All-Star Sunday are available now by phone at 888-FANFEST, at Angel Stadium ticket windows adjacent to home plate and online.
For the FanFest, tickets cost $30 for adults and $25 for senior citizens, military personnel and children 12 and under. Children two and under are admitted free. Taco Bell All-Star Sunday tickets range from $50 to $200. Discounts are available if FanFest tickets are purchased as part of a MLB All-Star FanFest Family Pack.
Gatorade All-Star Workout Day tickets cost between $145 and $330, of which the net proceeds will be donated to charitable efforts. Tickets to the 81st Major League Baseball All-Star Game range from $185-$360 per seat.
