ARLINGTON -- Starter Tommy Hunter was dealing with a stomach virus during Friday's start against the Red Sox.

Hunter, who threw up in the Rangers' dugout between innings, lasted just three-plus innings and left trailing 4-2. He gave up four solo home runs, including three in a row to start the fourth inning.

Hunter was leading, 2-0, in the third when Jed Lowrie led off the top of the inning with his second home run of the season. The Red Sox then started the fourth with home runs from David Ortiz, Adrian Beltre and J.D. Drew.

At that point, the Rangers brought in Scott Feldman to replace Hunter.
