HOUSTON -- Mets third baseman David Wright left Wednesday's game against the Astros -- a 3-2 win for the Mets in 14 innings -- after he singled to right field in the 12th inning.

Wright said he started feeling sick after the fourth or fifth inning.

"I felt real nauseous and throwing up a lot," Wright said. "I didn't feel like I was helping out much."

Wright said he felt about the same after the game and plans to take some medicine to help his condition.

"If I can play I'm going to play," Wright said. "It was the fact that I didn't think I could play or do anything I could to help those guys out there."

Wright had two hits before exiting the game. He hopes to play in Thursday's series finale.
