KANSAS CITY -- It's always been Omaha for the Royals and it will be through the 2014 season.
The Kansas City club announced on Thursday that Omaha will continue to be the team's Triple-A affiliate, as it has been since the franchise's inception in 1969, for the next four years.
Next season, the Omaha Royals will move into a new ballpark in Sarpy County, Neb. The club has a 77-62 record this season under manager Mike Jirschele.
The team's last regular-season game at Rosenblatt Stadium will be Thursday night against Round Rock.
