MILWAUKEE -- Here's your chance to share that recipe for a hot dog inside of a bratwurst dipped in nacho cheese with the rest of Wisconsin. The Brewers launched a contest on Wednesday to find a fan with the culinary creativity to devise a new menu creation for Miller Park. Through Friday, Jan. 14, fans are invited to submit a recipe here and everything from sandwiches to snacks to toppings to deserts will be considered. There's a limit of one entry per person, and the club is looking for equal parts creativity and practicality. The items should be suitable for preparation and serving in the ballpark environment. Representatives from Miller Park's concessionaire, Sportservice, will initially review all received entries and narrow the list to 10 selections for a panel to consider. That group that includes Brewers general manager Doug Melvin, executive vice president of business operations Rick Schlesinger, former outfielder Gorman Thomas, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel food writers Nancy Stohs and Jan Uebelherr, executives and chefs from Sportservice and representatives from Milwaukee restaurants Carnevor and Dream Dance. The panel will select four finalists on Jan. 26, and then it's up to the fans. Voting will continue through Feb. 3, and samples from the four finalists will be available for sampling at the Jan. 30 "Brewers On Deck" event at the Frontier Airlines Center. The winning recipe will be announced Feb. 9 and will be on sale at Miller Park throughout the 2011 season. The winner gets four tickets to Opening Day at Miller Park as well as an opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a game and an opportunity to watch the Brewers take batting practice from the field. The other three finalists will also receive a Brewers prize package that includes game tickets, an autographed jersey and an autographed baseball.
