In honor of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green, the proceeds of a March Spring Training game in Tuscon, Ariz., will be donated to a fund established in her remembrance.

The White Sox and D-backs are scheduled for a 1:05 p.m. MST first pitch on March 7 at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, with gates opening at 11 a.m.

"Our family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for our sweet Christina. This charitable fund will ensure her legacy for the children in our community," said John Green, Christina's father and a Dodgers scout.

Green was slain in the Jan. 8 shooting in Tuscon that claimed six lives and injured 14 others, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. She was the granddaughter of longtime Major League manager Dallas Green and was known as a student leader, ballet dancer and Little League Baseball player.

Pima County, the Tucson Padres, the Pima County Sports and Tourism Authority, the White Sox and D-backs have all banded together in donating the game's proceeds to charity. The Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund was established at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona by the Green family, and the fund supports Tucson youth.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Feb. 22 in person at the Kino Stadium box office, online at www.dbacks.com, www.whitesox.com, and www.kinosportscomplex.com and by phone by calling (520) 434-1367. Prices range from $6-20.
