Several members of the Angels will conduct a unique clinic for local Little Leaguers this weekend.
Catcher Hank Conger, reliever Rich Thompson, first baseman Mark Trumbo and pitching coach Mike Butcher will host 240 kids ages 8-18 at Angel Stadium.
Those kids will have the chance to throw pitches in the Angels' bullpen, catch fly balls in their outfield and take batting practice on their warning track. They'll also be given four ticket vouchers for a future Angels game and a team cap with which to collect autographs.
All proceeds will benefit the Angels Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) League, a youth program that provides those 12-18 the opportunity to play baseball and softball for free. To date, the league has served more than 5,800 youth.
The three-hour clinic will begin at 9 a.m. PT.
