LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers closer Jonathan Broxton struck out the side in one inning of a rehab appearance for Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday night.
Broxton, starting the game against Oklahoma City, allowed a leadoff single and went 3-0 to the next hitter, but he struck him out and also fanned the next two hitters. He fell behind the first three hitters and made 22 pitches, 14 for strikes.
This was Broxton's second rehab appearance after missing six weeks with a bruised elbow. In the other appearance Tuesday night, he allowed one run on one hit with a walk and two strikeouts.
