The A's agreed to terms on a one-year deal with left-handed pitcher Dallas Braden, the club announced Tuesday.

Braden, 28, is 26-36 with a 4.16 ERA in 94 career appearances, including 79 starts, in five seasons with Oakland. He went 1-1 and a 3.00 ERA in three starts for the A's in 2011 before he was placed on the disabled list April 18 with stiffness in his left shoulder. On May 17, he underwent surgery to a repair a torn capsule in the shoulder and missed the remainder of the season.

Braden is best known for throwing the 19th perfect game in Major League history when he took the hill on May 9, 2010, against Tampa Bay.

Andrew Bailey, Joey Devine, Gio Gonzalez, Brandon McCarthy and Ryan Sweeney remain arbitration-eligible for the A's.
