Miami Marlins celebrate Miami Children’s Hospital Charity Partner Weekend, July 13-15
Logan Morrison and David Samson together with Marlins players and staff will shave their heads on Saturday before the game against the Nationals in support of the Bald, Brave, Beautiful Project, fans invited to join
Miami, Fla. – July 12, 2012 – The Miami Marlins and the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation invite the public to participate in their official Charity Partner Weekend, July 13-15, at Marlins Park. A portion of ticket sales during the weekend will benefit Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation is an official charity partner of the Miami Marlins and received a $51,250 gift from Marlins President David Samson’s “Run to Honor the Workers” fundraiser this past April.
Today Thursday, July 12 Logan Morrison will visit with patients at MCH where he will announce his pledge to shave his head to show support for kids and the Bald, Brave, Beautiful Project. Also, Logan Morrison will distribute 100 autographed jerseys to children at Miami Children’s Hospital. Logan Morrison will be at Miami Children’s Hospital from noon to 2pm today, Thursday July 12. The charity weekend will feature 50/50 raffles on Friday and Sunday. The 50/50 Raffles will take place throughout the ballpark until the end of the 4th inning.
On Saturday, July 14, Logan Morrison and Marlins President David Samson together with Marlins players and front office staff will shave their heads in support of pediatric cancer patients at Miami Children’s Hospital through the Bald, Brave and Beautiful project. Prior to the game on Saturday, a tent will be set up on the West Plaza, where Hugo, Marlins players’ barber, will provide complimentary haircuts for all players, staff and fans. Also, 70 children from the Kids Cancer Camp will attend the game against the Nationals at Marlins Park Saturday night.
