Blue Jays host Tigers this weekend
Fun filled weekend includes activities for all ages
The TORONTO BLUE JAYS host the Detroit Tigers in a 3-game series at Rogers Centre starting Friday July 27 and concluding on Sunday July 29. All three days feature activities that will entertain and engage fans of all ages.
On Friday, July 27 the Blue Jays will host the 2nd of four scheduled Summer Fan Festivals presented by Schneiders Grill'ems outside of Gates 10 & 11 starting at 4:30pm. Fans are encouraged to get down to the park early as there will be a variety of food choices, live music in a licensed area with activities for all ages. In addition one lucky fan attending the festival will be scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game that evening.
Saturday, July 28 features another Jr. Jays Saturday presented by Boston Pizza. Outdoor activities begin at 11am again outside of Gates 10 & 11. Featuring inflatables, air brush artists, dunk tanks, Boston Pizza giveaways and more, even the youngest of Blue Jays fans will enjoy the offerings and atmosphere. The J-Force and Ace will also be on hand and will randomly select children to be part of the starting lineup on field next to the big leaguers that afternoon.
On Sunday, July 29, the longest running promotion in club history returns with the popular MR.SUB Sportsbag day. The first 20,000 fans to enter Rogers Centre will receive a Blue Jays Mr. Sub Sportsbag. Also a popular feature, Jays Care Foundation will host the first of two Jays Care garage sales. Fans can peruse Jays memorabilia from past years, purchase autographed items (cash only) with all the proceeds directed to Jays Care programs and outreach efforts.
