The Dwellers of the MLB Fan Cave have watched 1,478 games from their humble abode, and will watch another 952 more before the season is over.

Oh, and get this: It's their job.

Cave Dwellers Ashley Chavez, Kyle Thompson, Ricardo Marquez and Gordon Mack are attempting to watch all 2,430 Major League baseball games. All the while, they're chronicling their adventures through social media -- videos, blogs and Twitter: @MLBFanCave, @smashleychavez, @kylethompson, @iBlogBetter (Marquez) and @gordonmack.

To hear them tell it, the Fan Cave's forte is "allowing fans to interact with the game in an entirely new way." It is "a first-of-its-kind space mixing baseball with music, popular culture, media, interactive technology and art."

The Dwellers say it's been a great experience. And when you're spending your days in a three-floor oasis that houses 45 HDTVs, a 10-foot tube slide (used by the Dwellers to commemorate home runs, along with a "home run gong"), a 65-inch TV that doubles as a digital photo booth, a pool table, shuffleboard, a remote-controlled racetrack and a "Dirt Bar" featuring dirt from all 30 Major League stadiums, how could it not be?

As many big leaguers and assorted other celebrities (the likes of which, thus far, have included Charlie Sheen, Colin Hanks, Arsenio Hall, Nick Offerman, Kate Upton, Far East Movement and Daughtry) have discovered, when visiting the Fan Cave, you're prone to slide rides, a game of pool and a visit to the Dirt Bar, among other things. You might sit down at the "Cave Monster," a wall of TVs outfitted for watch big league games. You might Go To Bat for charity in a virtual Home Run Derby. And you might just see Cave Dweller Mack balance a jumbo-size baseball bat on his chin.
