Baseball Tomorrow Fund reaches agreement with Brickman
Agreement provides free consultations to Baseball Tomorrow Fund grantees
The Baseball Tomorrow Fund, a joint initiative between the Major League Baseball Players Association and Major League Baseball, has reached an agreement with Brickman, an award-winning landscape management services firm, to provide field construction and maintenance consultation to select Baseball Tomorrow Fund grant recipients.
This agreement is part of a newly created Baseball Tomorrow Fund Maintenance Incentive Program that will launch in 2006. Representatives from Brickman will visit select sites to monitor field maintenance and provide consultation. In addition to the on-site consultation services, youth baseball and softball organizations will have access to basic maintenance guidelines and schedules developed by Brickman, which will be available on the Baseball Tomorrow Fund Website (www.baseballtomorrowfund.com) in the summer of 2006.
"The Baseball Tomorrow Fund is continually identifying new ways to provide long-term support to youth baseball and softball organizations," said Cathy Bradley, Executive Director, Baseball Tomorrow Fund. "The expertise of Brickman will allow us to address the on-going issue of field maintenance, which is a key component to successful and safe programs for kids."
"One of the most important ways to improve the game of baseball globally on all levels is to invest in facilities to make them safe and playable," said Murray Cook, President, Sports Turf Division, Brickman. "The Baseball Tomorrow Fund has a long history of providing resources to improve youth baseball and softball facilities worldwide and Brickman is truly excited to team with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund."
