January 27, 2006 - The Caribbean Baseball Confederation announced today a three-year partnership agreement with MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), the interactive media and internet company of Major League Baseball, for MLBAM to manage, host and develop the Confederation's interactive rights. Alianza Latina de Beisbol, the name under which the Caribbean Baseball Confederation has been rebranded in the U.S., has jointly developed with MLB.com the Spanish and English language websites for the Baseball property. As part of the Agreement the entities will offer fans the opportunity to connect with Leagues and Teams from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Mexico who make up the Alianza Latina de Beisbol.

"We are thrilled to partner with MLB.com on this property. Hispanics have a long tradition in Baseball and Caribbean Baseball has historically been a development forum for Latin ballplayers," said Sara Loarte on behalf of Alianza Latina de Beisbol. "Now fans in the U.S. and worldwide will have access to the tradition of these teams, leagues and Caribbean World Series."

"This important partnership will leverage MLB Advanced Media's capabilities in live video/audio streaming, wireless and content development and Alianza's Hispanic marketing experience in developing audience activation online and off line," said George Kliavkoff, executive vice president of business for MLB Advanced Media.

Alianza Latina de Beisbol is a joint venture between the Caribbean Baseball Confederation and Altus/B2Z Entertainment. As a result of the partnership, Altus/B2Z Entertainment has acquired the marketing, broadcast, event, licensing and interactive media rights for the Caribbean Baseball Confederation exclusively.

Caribbean Baseball has long been the hot bed for Major League talent, producing superstars such as Pedro Martinez, Ivan Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Andres Galarraga, Vinny Castilla, Omar Vizquel, Carlos Beltran, Miguel Tejada, among others.
