tickets for any Major League Baseball game

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN -- The Minnesota Twins today announced a new special events and promotions calendar and daily ticket specials for the 2006 season. Event highlights include a 2005 Rawlings Gold Glove Award presentation to center fielder Torii Hunter and second baseman Luis Castillo, the 15th Annual Twins Autograph Party and Armed Services Appreciation Day. Exciting promotional giveaways include four new bobblehead dolls, a pink Twins visor and two new bronze statues. New daily ticket specials offer discount ticket, food or beverage packages every day of the week.

Additional event highlights include the Twins 2006 home opener on Tuesday, April 11 (7:10 p.m. CT vs. Oakland Athletics). Presented by Target, the Home Opener will feature a special pre-game tribute to Kirby Puckett and all fans will receive a 2006 magnet schedule. The Twins will present centerfielder Torii Hunter and second baseman Luis Castillo with their 2005 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards Saturday, April 15 (6:10 p.m. CT vs. New York Yankees). In conjunction with the Gold Glove presentation, an authentic Torii Hunter Rawlings glove will be given away to 100 lucky fans. The annual Twins Autograph Party, presented by Twin City Co-ops Federal Credit Union, will take place Saturday, June 10 (6:10 p.m. CT versus the Baltimore Orioles). Meanwhile, the Twins Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by Fisher Nuts will take place Sunday, June 25 (1:10 p.m. CT vs. Chicago Cubs).

Exciting promotional giveaways include four new Hormel bobblehead dolls. The Torii Hunter Gold Glove bobblehead doll will be given away Friday, May 5 (7:10 p.m. vs. Detroit Tigers), followed by a Brad Radke bobblehead doll Sunday, June 11 (1:10 p.m. vs. Baltimore Orioles), former Twins manager Billy Martin bobblehead doll Saturday, July 29 (6:10 p.m. vs. Detroit Tigers), and 1991 World Series hero Jack Morris bobblehead doll Saturday, Sept. 9 (6:10 p.m. vs. Detroit Tigers). Other giveaways include a pink Twins visor courtesy of Christopher & Banks on Mother's Day, May 14 (7:05 p.m. vs. Chicago White Sox) as well as Dairy Queen Cap Nights Friday, May 12 (7:10 p.m. vs. Chicago White Sox) and Saturday, July 15 (6:10 p.m. vs. Cleveland Indians).

The Twins will again offer daily ticket specials during the 2006 season.

MONDAY is "Mountain Dew Mega Mondays." All lower reserved tickets are $10 off when fans present a Mountain Dew product (can or bottle) at the Mountain Dew Redemption Center on the Metrodome Plaza or at any Twins Pro Shop location. Fans may also take advantage of the offer by providing a valid Mountain Dew UPC code when purchasing tickets on www.twinsbaseball.com or through the Twins' phone charge lines at (612) 33-TWINS or 1-800-33-TWINS.

TUESDAY is "The Our Family Brand Half-Price Tuesdays" presented by Twin Cities Interconnect, with Home Run Porch tickets offered for just $8.50 (normally priced at $17).

WEDNESDAY is "Hormel Dollar-A-Dog Night" and "Hat World and Lids Student Night" presented by the Star Tribune. Hormel hot dogs will be priced at just $1 and students are able to purchase a Cheap Seats ticket for Wednesday evening games for only $3 (regularly priced at $6) when presenting a valid student ID.

THURSDAY is "Continental Diamond Thursdays at the Diamond" presented by 29 WFTC. Fans purchasing a lower reserved ticket for any Thursday game will receive a $26 gift certificate to Continental Diamond.

FRIDAY marks the return of the "Cub Foods Value Pack" presented by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS. Fans purchasing a regularly priced Home Run Porch ticket ($17) will receive a FREE Hormel Dome Dog, a FREE soft drink, and a discount coupon from Cub Foods.

SATURDAY will again feature the "Dairy Queen Family Pack" presented by KARE 11. Fans purchasing a regularly-priced Home Run Porch ticket ($17) will receive a Papa John's Personal Pan Pizza, a FREE soft drink, and a FREE Dairy Queen Blizzard Flavor Treat with the purchase of a Blizzard.

SUNDAY is "Kemp's Kids Day" presented by KARE 11. Two kids receive FREE admission in the Cheap Seats or Home Run Porch with the purchase of one adult ticket in the same section and $2 off any Kemp's Twins ice cream or novelty item.

The Twins will also offer several ticket specials including "Treasure Island Senior Days" (all weekday day games), "Herberger's Wine Women & Baseball" presented by WCCO TV and WLTE FM (May 4, June 15, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 7 and Sept. 28), "The Park Pack" presented by The Park at MOA (Sunday through Thursday games), "The Our Family Brand Saturday Tailgate Party" presented by FSN North, and the "Broadway Pizza Twins Birthday Pack."
