Major League Baseball completed the remaining 32 of the 50 rounds of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft today, with a total of 1,502 players being selected.

Among the relatives of those involved in Major League Baseball who were drafted are Jeremy (19th round, 569th overall, Chicago Cubs) and Josh Papelbon (48th round, 1,443rd overall, Boston Red Sox), the twin brothers of Red Sox pitcher Jonathan Papelbon; Kurt Bradley (33rd round, 983rd overall, Los Angeles Dodgers), son of Phil; Zachary Helton (37th round, 1,098th overall, Colorado Rockies), cousin of Todd; Trent Henderson (37th round, 1,119th overall, Houston Astros), son of Dave; Scott Thomas (38th round, 1,156th overall, St. Louis Cardinals), son of Lee; Riley Etchebarren (39th round, 1,167th overall), nephew of Andy; David Cash (40th round, 1,195th overall, Baltimore Orioles), son of Dave; and Candy Maldonado (46th round, 1,365th overall, Tampa Bay Devil Rays), son of Candy.
