Baseball Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced today that Hall of Famer and former Washington
Nationals manager Frank Robinson will rejoin the Commissioner's Office as a Special Advisor to the
Executive Vice President, Baseball Operations, effective March 5th, 2007.
Robinson, who served as Baseball's Vice President for On-Field Operations from 2000-02, will report
directly to Jimmie Lee Solomon, MLB's Executive Vice President, Baseball Operations, and advise Solomon
on a variety of baseball matters.
Commissioner Selig said: "I am delighted that Frank has decided to rejoin us at Major League Baseball.
Besides being a baseball legend, Frank has a wealth of knowledge about the game from every conceivable
point of view. We are grateful to have the opportunity once again to tap into his knowledge and experience."
