Fielder earns Sharp Presents the National League Player of the Month honors

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder, who hit 13 home runs and collected 28 RBI, has
been voted the Sharp Presents the National League Player of the Month for May.
Fielder entered today's action leading the National League with 19 home runs. He recorded two
multi-home run games and seven multi-RBI games in the month of May. Prince batted .321 (34-106), with
a .755 slugging percentage and a .397 on-base percentage. The lefty slugger ranks second in the N.L. with
44 RBI, 133 total bases, and a .621 slugging percentage. This is Prince's first career National League Player
of the Month Award.
Other players receiving votes were Brewers' teammate J.J. Hardy who hit .325 with nine home runs
and 29 RBI; Ken Griffey, Jr. of the Reds, who hit .306 with 10 home runs and 22 RBI; Carlos Lee of the
Astros, who hit .376 with five home runs and 26 RBI; and Rafael Furcal of the Dodgers, who hit .371 with
39 hits and 11 RBI.
For setting the highest definition of excellence, Sharp, the presenting sponsor of the National League
Player of the Month Award, presents Prince Fielder with an LC-52D92U 52" Sharp AQUOSÒ LCD-TV. Sharp
AQUOS is the "Official High-Definition Television of Major League Baseball." Prince Fielder also will receive a
specially designed trophy to mark his achievement.
