Ryan Braun named Sharp Presents the National League Player of the Month for July

Ryan Braun of the Brewers has been voted the Sharp Presents the National League Player of the Month for July.
The right-handed slugger hit .345 (38-110), 11 home runs, three doubles, recorded 25 RBI and scored
18 runs, while posting 12 multi-hit games during the month. His 11 HR led the N.L. and he tied for the league
lead with 74 total bases, his 25 RBI ranked 2nd and he tied for 3rd in hits, 38. The 23-year old third baseman also
recorded two multi-home run games, on July 6th at Washington and July 13th vs. Colorado. This is the second
Player of the Month award for the Brewers this season (Prince Fielder for May).
Other players receiving votes were: Philadelphia's Ryan Howard (.323, 10 HR, 29 RBI) and Pat Burrell
(.435, 6 HR, 22 RBI); Florida's Hanley Ramirez (.424, 6 HR, 21 RBI); Jeff Kent (.447, 5 HR, 20 RBI) of the Los
Angeles Dodgers; and Houston's Carlos Lee (.303, 7 HR, 19 RBI).
For setting the highest definition of excellence, Sharp, the presenting sponsor of the National League
