Musical performers set for Games 3 and 4 of 2007 World Series
Carrie Underwood, Philip Bailey, Trisha Yearwood and Lonestar to perform at Coors Field
Two-time Grammy award winning musician Carrie Underwood will perform the U.S. National Anthem
prior to the start of Game Three of the 2007 World Series at Coors Field. Denver native and lead vocalist for
Earth, Wind and Fire, Philip Bailey will perform God Bless America in the seventh inning.
Three-time Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Trisha Yearwood will perform the U.S. National
Anthem prior to the start of Game Four of the 2007 World Series at Coors Field. Country music sensation
Lonestar will perform God Bless America in the seventh inning.
Multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood has sold more than six million albums to date and in
the past three years has been the most popular selling female country musician on the airwaves. At the
2007 Grammy Awards Underwood received "Best New Artist," and "Best Female Country Vocal Performance"
honors. Underwood's latest album "Carnival Ride" was released on October 23rd, 2007 to rave reviews. "So
Small," her first single off her latest album, is currently number four on Billboards Hot Country Songs chart.
As one of the founding members and lead singer of Earth, Wind and Fire, Philip Bailey has won eight
Grammy awards. He has had eight gold singles and more than fifty gold and platinum albums with the
group. His second solo album "Chinese Wall," which was co-produced with Phil Collins in 1984, was certified
gold. Bailey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
The multi-platinum, multi Grammy-winning talent Trisha Yearwood has had nine #1 hits to date. She
has released eleven albums, all of which have been certified either gold or platinum. Her latest album,
"Heaven, Heartache and The Power of Love," which is her first studio album in two years, is scheduled for
release on November 13th, 2007. Yearwood has performed at the Academy Awards, the closing ceremonies
of the '96 Olympics, The White House and the Library of Congress.
Lonestar has had nine #1 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Song chart. They have recorded eight
studio albums, three of which have been certified gold and three more platinum. Their 1999 hit single
"Amazed" went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The 2007 World Series will be televised nationally by FOX Sports and televised around the world by
Major League Baseball International. ESPN Radio and XM Satellite Radio will provide national radio
coverage, while MLB.com will provide extensive online coverage and MLB Radio will provide exclusive playby-
play coverage of the game on the Internet.
