Conor Jackson of the Arizona Diamondbacks named Bank of America presents the National League Player of the Week
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

First baseman Conor Jackson of the Arizona Diamondbacks has been named Bank of America Presents the National League Player of the Week for the period of April 14th-20th. Bank of America, the Official Bank of Major League Baseball, is the presenting sponsor of the National League and American League Player of the Week Awards, which reflect Bank of America's long-standing tradition of promoting and recognizing higher standards of accomplishment.

Jackson led the National League with 10 RBI and 10 runs scored and he tied for the N.L. lead with 27 total bases and two triples. The 25-year-old Jackson hit .480 (12-25), including three home runs and two doubles. He recorded a 1.080 slugging percentage and a .519 on-base percentage. Jackson, now in his fourth Major League season after being selected in the first round (19th overall) of the 2003 First-Year Player Draft, recorded a home run and three RBI in back-to-back games on April 14th and 15th at San Francisco. On April 18th vs. San Diego, the University of California product went 4-for-5, hitting two triples, a home run and recording four RBI. This marks the first time that Conor has earned weekly honors.

Other nominees this past week included Jackson's Arizona teammate, right-hander Dan Haren (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 SO); Atlanta's Chipper Jones (.565, 4 HR, 7 RBI); Philadelphia's Chase Utley (.391, 5 HR, 8 RBI); Chicago's Derrek Lee (.400, 3 HR, 8 RBI), Mark DeRosa (.421, 8 RBI), Reed Johnson (.450, 2 RBI), Geovany Soto (.438, 3 2B, 4 RBI) and Ryan Theriot (.481, 4 2B, 4 RBI); Cincinnati's Joey Votto (.286, 3 HR, 9 RBI); Jose Reyes (.429, 2 HR, 3 RBI) and David Wright (.522, 1 HR, 9 RBI) of the Mets; Florida's Jorge Cantu (.438, 3 2B), Josh Willingham (.409, 3 RBI) and Scott Olsen (2-0, 0.64 ERA, 6 SO); Colorado's Garrett Atkins (.345, 2 HR, 6 RBI) and Kip Wells (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 8 SO); San Diego's Randy Wolf (2-0, 2.70 ERA, 16 SO); San Francisco's Aaron Rowand (.444, 1 HR, 6 RBI) and Tim Lincecum (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 5 SO); Skip Schumaker (.450, 5 RBI) of St. Louis; and Washington's Nick Johnson (1 HR, 7 RBI).

Tourneau, the world's largest watch store, will award Conor Jackson with a luxury Swiss Timepiece, suitably engraved, in recognition of his accomplishments as Bank of America Presents the National League Player of the Week.
