Phillies announce new Mitchell & Ness Alley store at Citizens Bank Park
Mitchell & Ness, a Philadelphia-based sports apparel company, has signed on as naming rights partner for the Alley Store at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies announced today.
The store will feature Mitchell & Ness' signature throwback flannel jerseys from MLB's Cooperstown Authentic Collection, as well as a line of fashion apparel based on nostalgic Phillies logos, old-time pennants and banners, and a line of Ashburn Alley products. Current Phillies merchandise standards, including player t-shirts and caps, will remain available at the Mitchell & Ness Alley Store.
"The Phillies and Mitchell & Ness, two legendary Philadelphia sports organizations, have been great partners for many years," said Sean McKinney, President, Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand this relationship and to create the Mitchell & Ness Alley Store at Citizens Bank Park."
Retro Phillies jerseys now available in the Mitchell & Ness Alley Store include the Richie Ashburn 1950 Home Jersey, Mike Schmidt 1980 Road Jersey, Tug McGraw 1981 St. Patrick's Day Jersey, 1910 Home Jersey, 1933 Road Jersey and 1945 Home Jersey.
"Having Mitchell & Ness on Ashburn Alley is a great fit," said Scott Brandreth, Phillies Director of Merchandise. "They are nationally known for their line of throwback jerseys and are a name fans look to for authentic vintage sportswear. The fact that they're a Philadelphia company with 'Philadelphia, PA' in their logo makes it all the better."
Located 547 feet from home plate, the Mitchell & Ness Alley Store anchors Ashburn Alley, the outfield entertainment area of Citizens Bank Park. Ashburn Alley is named after Phillies Hall of Fame center fielder and legendary broadcaster Richie Ashburn.
