Pirates agree to terms with three Draft picks
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

The Pirates have signed the following three selections from this year's Draft:

#3 Jordy Mercer, SS Oklahoma State University
Was a three-time All-Big 12 Conference selection in career at Oklahoma State...Hit .330 with 12 doubles, 14 home runs and 60 RBI in 62 games this year as a junior with the Cowboys...Was a First-Team All-Big 12 selection as a utility player in 2008, earned Second-Team status at shortstop and was also honorable mention as a pitcher...Was a Second-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2007 as a sophomore...Played for USA Baseball over the summer of 2007 and won a silver medal at the PanAm Games in Brazil...Was a First-Team All-Big 12 selection as a freshman and was named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger...Ended collegiate career as Oklahoma State's career leader in saves (17).

#4 Chase D'Arnaud, SS Pepperdine University
Hit .314 with 17 doubles, 11 home runs and 50 RBI as a junior this year at Pepperdine...Was named a First-Team West Coast Conference selection in 2008...Hit .331 as a sophomore and ranked second on the team with a .446 slugging percentage...Was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball in 2006, and also to the All- WCC First-Team and WCC All-Freshman Team.

#39 Albert Fagan, RHP
Was named the Region 15 Junior College Pitcher-of-the-Year in 2006 at Rockland Community College...Holds the single-season strikeout record (95) at Gorton High School in Yonkers, New York in 2003...Was also a three-time Westchester Conference selection during high school career.

The Pirates have now come to terms with 24 of their 50 selections from this year's draft.
