Outfielder Zach Collier, the Phillies' first-round compensation selection (34th overall) in June's First-Year Player Draft, has agreed to terms on a contract, Mike Arbuckle, Assistant General Manager, Scouting and Player Development, announced today.

Collier, a 6'2", 185-pound left-handed hitter, will report to the Phillies' Gulf Coast League team in Clearwater, Fla., next week.

The 17-year-old native of Chino Hills, Calif., attended Chino Hills High School where he hit .450 with seven home runs and 27 RBI in 80 at-bats, earning him Inland Valley Player of the Year honors.

Catcher Jean Rodriguez, 19, the Phillies' 10th-round selection out of George Washington High School, also agreed to terms on a professional contract and will report to Clearwater.

The Phillies have now signed 23 of the 53 players they selected earlier this month.
