BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox today announced the signings of four players selected in the 2008 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.

The list is topped by Boston's first of two selections in the 3rd round of the draft, righthanded pitcher Stephen Fife of the University of Utah. Fife, the 85th overall pick in the draft, was 7-5, 3.75 in 15 starts at Utah in 2008.

Also agreeing to terms were the 8th round pick, righthanded pitcher Michael Lee from Oklahoma City University; the 11th round selection, outfielder Bryan Peterson from West Valley High School in Spokane, Washington; and the 14th round pick, outfielder Tyler Yockey from Acadiana High School in Duson, Louisiana.

Fife and Lee have been assigned to Single-A Lowell in the New York-Penn League with Peterson and Yockey going to the Rookie League Gulf Coast Red Sox.

Boston has signed 15 players from the June draft.
