The Orioles today announced that they have signed free agent RHP ADAM EATON to a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Eaton, 31, was released by the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, February 27.
A first round pick by Philadelphia in 2000 (11th overall), he went 4-8 with a 5.80 ERA (107.0IP, 69ER) in 21 games (19 starts) for Philadelphia last season. In nine major league seasons with San Diego, Texas and Philadelphia, Eaton is 68-63 with a 4.80 ERA (1129.2IP, 603ER) in 197 games (193 starts).
