ARLINGTON -- The Texas Rangers announced that Wednesday's scheduled contest against the Toronto Blue Jays has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader between the Rangers and Blue Jays on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, with the first contest beginning at 4:05 p.m. CT.
Fans holding tickets for tonight's game (dated Wednesday, June 10, 2009) will be able to exchange them for any future game on the Rangers' 2009 home schedule, including the Sept. 1 doubleheader. Tickets may be exchanged at any Rangers Ballpark in Arlington ticket window or through the mail.
This marks the second rainout for Texas this season, as the game was called at 8:45 p.m. CT after a delay of exactly one hour, 40 minutes. The other rainout in Arlington this season came April 29 vs. Oakland. That postponement was already made up as part of a doubleheader on May 29.
