The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Florida Marlins catcher Ronny Paulino has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension of Paulino is effective immediately, beginning tonight, when the Marlins are scheduled to host the Houston Astros.
