Here's the perfect chance to keep those used electronics from entering a landfill and making sure the glass, metals and plastics they contain are reused.

On Saturday, June 25, the Phillies are teaming up with Waste Management to host its first Red Goes Green eCycle Event at Citizens Bank Park. From 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., fans are invited to bring their used electronics (up to two items per person) to Lot S (enter off Pattison Avenue), and have them recycled, free of charge.

Items that may be recycled include small televisions, computer CPUs, monitors, and peripherals; VCRs, copiers, stereo equipment and radios, calculators, cell phones, scanners, fax machines, telephones and most other items that plug in or are powered by batteries and can be carried by an individual.

Please note: console televisions, microwave ovens, large office copiers and other items too large for one person to carry will not be accepted. Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freezers, refrigerators and other large household appliances will not be accepted.

Electronic recyclers are encouraged to arrive early. The event will end at 11:00 a.m. or when the three large truck trailers on-site are filled. The first 200 participants will receive an autographed photo card from Phillies pitcher Ryan Madson, and Phillies Ballgirls will be in attendance. Participants will also receive a 10% discount to the Majestic Clubhouse Store that day.

For questions about items that can be recycled, please contact John Hambrose, Community Relations Coordinator, Waste Management at 570-562-1600 ext. 244 or For more information on the Phillies Red Goes Green program, please visit
