Astros hope to buck trend

Burke says it would be great to win Sunday, set NLCS rotation

Chris Burke is providing daily commentary to MLB.com throughout his team's postseason run. Burke breaks down Houston's performance after its 7-3 win over Atlanta in Game 3.

We had a great game tonight. [Craig] Biggio set the tone early and often with three doubles, and Morgan [Ensberg] had a big night, which he's been making a habit of. [Jason] Lane had a big RBI in the seventh after [Mike] Lamb was intentionally walked to load the bases.

It was good to give Roy [Oswalt] seven runs. You give him seven runs and you have to like your chances.

It was a little bit of a downer to take a 2-0 lead and then see them come back to tie it. [Brian] McCann dropped one in just out of Lance [Berkman]'s reach and the pitcher gets a hit on a 3-2 count. That was a little deflating.

Lamb's home run gave us a lift, and really, after that, Roy really settled down nicely. They weren't able to do much off him after that. He was throwing 98 [mph] consistently, his curveball was sharp and he was throwing strikes with all of his pitches.

It would be great to clinch here on Sunday. It would give us a chance to rest the pitchers and set up our rotation the same way we did for this series. We lost Game 4 last year after going up, 2-1, and hopefully we can buck the trend this time.

The Braves have [Tim] Hudson going, who is tough. But we have [Brandon] Backe, and as he showed last year, he can definitely get up for the big games. It should be interesting.
