Zimmer among Rays' Draft reps
Martinez scheduled to join senior baseball advisor in Orlando

MLB.com will broadcast every pick of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, which will take place June 7-8 at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Fla. Day 1 coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET with a simulcast of ESPN2's broadcast of the first round and compensation picks. Video coverage of the remaining rounds on Day 1 will air on MLB.com, with live interviews and analysis from Orlando by Casey Stern, Jonathan Mayo and Perfect Game USA's Dave Rawnsley. Day 2 of the Draft will get under way at 11:30 a.m. ET and continue through Round 50, if necessary. Every pick on Day 2 can be heard live at MLB.com with analysis from Mayo and Perfect Game USA's Allan Simpson.
Also once again this year, fans can follow every pick with MLB.com's live Draft Tracker, a searchable database of every Draft-eligible player featuring biographical data, statistics, scouting reports and rare scouting video.
Zimmer, 76, is senior baseball advisor for the Rays. He has been a Major League coach or manager every year since 1971. Prior to joining the Rays, he spent eight seasons as bench coach on the staff of Yankees manager Joe Torre.

Zimmer began his playing career in 1949 after signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers; he went on to play 12 seasons in the Major Leagues (1954-65) with the Dodgers (Brooklyn and Los Angeles), Cubs, Mets, Reds and Washington Senators. He also played the 1966 season in Japan with the Toei Flyers.
Martinez, 42, has recently served as a special instructor for the Rays during Spring Training and also filled in as the team's first-base coach while George Hendrick recovered from knee surgery earlier this season. A third-round pick of the Cubs in the 1983 draft, Martinez played in the Major Leagues from 1986-2001 with the Cubs, Expos, Reds, Giants, White Sox, Rays, Rangers, Blue Jays and Braves.
