SAN FRANCISCO -- Bank of America, the Official Bank of Major League Baseball, today announced a month-long campaign that will enable fans to get close to all the action during 2007 All-Star Week in San Francisco, Calif.

"The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is an electrifying celebration of our national pastime, and truly a unique event for fans both young and old," said Steve Silvestri, San Francisco market president, Bank of America. "As proud sponsor of Major League Baseball, Bank of America is proud to provide fans with opportunities to connect to the game and share in the tradition of the Midsummer Classic."

In the month leading up to the All-Star Game, Bank of America will support a series of activities and special events to engage fans, delight customers and support the San Francisco community. Among them:

Bank of America Play Ball! Youth Clinic

Recognizing that tomorrow's All-Stars are today's young people, Bank of America is partnering with Major League Baseball and the San Francisco Giants to conduct a youth baseball clinic near AT&T Park on Thursday, July 5. Legendary former Major League Baseball players and All-Stars will provide instruction to dozens of young athletes. All youths in attendance will receive autographs from the MLB legends, a tour of AT&T Park and two tickets to DHL All-Star FanFest.

"Baseball has always been a game passed down from one generation to the next, and we are pleased to offer youth in the San Francisco area an opportunity to learn baseball skills from some of their Major League Baseball heroes and some of baseball's all-time greats," added Silvestri.
