Scully, Jarrin to call games on radio

Rest of Dodgers' broadcast team also set for local outlets

CHICAGO -- Dodgers fans will have Hall of Famers Vin Scully and Jaime Jarrin, along with the rest of the organization's broadcast team, handling the play-by-play on local radio outlets for the National League Division Series that starts Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. PT against the Cubs.

In addition, Dodgers broadcasters Rick Monday, Charley Steiner, Fernando Valenzuela and Pepe Yñiguez will be on the air for the Dodgers' broadcast partners, KABC 790 and KHJ La Ranchera 930.

complete postseason coverage

Scully, in his 59th season behind the microphone for the Dodgers, will call the first three innings and the last three innings exclusively on KABC 790. Monday and Steiner will host the pregame show and call the middle three innings of action. KABC will also host a special hour-long pregame and postgame DodgerTalk, hosted by Ken Levine and Josh Suchon.

The Dodgers are the only Major League club to feature a pair of Hall of Fame announcers. Scully and Jarrín have called countless postseason games and 25 World Series apiece.

Jarrín, in his 50th season for the Dodgers' Spanish-language broadcasts, will call the first inning solo before being joined in the booth by Valenzuela for the second and third innings. Valenzuela will remain on the air with Yñiguez for the middle three innings before Jarrin rejoins him in the seventh inning. Jarrín will call the last two innings solo.

FSN Prime Ticket will have a live postgame show after each game, with analyst Steve Lyons and reporter Patrick O'Neal on site in Chicago. They will be joined throughout the postseason by Kevin Kennedy, Jim Watson, Michael Eaves, Sean Farnham, and Chris "Geeter" McGee.

KCAL 9 and KCBS 2 will be providing live hits from Chicago with Gary Miller.

Dodgers fans are invited to cheer on the team during the first two road games of the postseason at all three Barney's Beanery locations in the Southland. The Dodger Home Base Network events will feature appearances by former Dodgers, the on-air staff from KABC 790's "McIntyre in the Morning," and Dodgers merchandise giveaways. On Wednesday, Dodgers great Kenny Landreaux will visit the Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood, Calif., Bobby Castillo will be at Barney's in Pasadena, Calif., and Rudy Law will be in Santa Monica, Calif. Lee Lacy will visit Barney's in West Hollywood for Thursday's viewing party, Rudy Law will visit Pasadena, and Bobby Castillo will be at Pasadena's location. A pair of tickets to Saturday's home game will be given away at each location.
