Last season, Milledge was the everyday center fielder and hit .268 with 14 home runs and 61 RBIs. Milledge will continue to fill that role this season.

Bergmann was part of Washington's rotation last year and had one of the toughest seasons of his career, going 2-11 with a 5.09 ERA. He's trying to make the team as a middle reliever.

Infielder Alberto Gonzalez, second baseman Anderson Hernandez and left-hander Mike O'Connor also agreed to one-year deals with Washington.

Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman had been the only unsigned player on the Nationals' big league roster, until Zimmerman avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.325 million deal early Friday morning.
