Delgado, 24, made just two appearances in 2008, giving up a run in two innings of work. The Venezuela native spent most of the season in Double-A Carolina, where he went 5-2 with a 3.45 ERA.
Delgado -- who came over in the deal that sent Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell to the Red Sox, and brought Hanley Ramirez and Anibal Sanchez to the Marlins -- had given up four runs in three innings this spring.
Despite being sent to Minor League camp on Friday, Matt Dominguez and Michael Stanton are available to play against the Mets on Sunday at Roger Dean Stadium. They are expected to be back at Minor League camp on Monday.
