Phils' prospect arrested on misdemeanors
2009 Draft pick facing three separate charges in Louisana

According to a spokesman for the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, Colvin -- Philadelphia's seventh-round pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft -- was charged with disturbing the peace, simple battery and resisting an officer in Jefferson Street -- an area known for its bars -- at 2:20 a.m. ET Sunday morning.
Colvin, 19, was released without bail on Sunday and is scheduled to appear in Lafayette City Court the morning of April 1.
The Phillies offered no comment.
Colvin, a 6-foot-3 right-hander from St. Thomas More High School in Louisiana, was a highly touted prospect going into the Draft, but his stock fell after it was thought he might go to college. The Phillies, however, brought him to professional baseball with a $900,000 signing bonus agreed upon shortly before the August deadline for players to sign.
Colvin made one appearance (two shutout innings) for the Phillies' Gulf Coast League team last summer and was then sent to the Instructional League.
