By Jesse Sanchez / MLB.com
The pitcher made the announcement Thursday on his Facebook page.
Lincecum's donation will go to the Bryan Stow Fund to help with medical bills and other expenses. Stow, 42, was beaten in a parking lot outside Dodger Stadium after the March 31 season opener between the Giants and the Dodgers. He remains hospitalized in Los Angeles in a medically induced coma.
"This was a senseless act of violence and I wanted to help out Mr. Stow and his family," Lincecum wrote. "I encourage Giants fans to support Mr. Stow in a positive way and hope there are not any more unfortunate acts between fans in this great rivalry."
According to The Associated Press, the Giants raised almost $70,000 in donations for the Stow fund at AT&T Park on Monday during the first game of the Dodgers-Giants series.
No arrests have been made in the case. There is a $150,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
