Norris unconcerned with blister issue
By Rowan Kavner / MLB.com
Norris was at 102 pitches before the blister on his right middle finger became too meddlesome. The Reds drilled 10 hits off him before Fernando Rodriguez relieved the Astros starter with the game tied at 3.
Norris said he can take care of the blister easier at home, and it's not an issue he's worried about.
"I'm going to be all right," Norris said. "I've dealt with it my entire career, whether it be in high school to Double-A to the big leagues. It's something I'm going to have to deal with."
Norris said the more pitches he throws, the more pressure he feels, and the worse the blister gets. He doesn't expect to miss any additional time.
"I've got a good grasp on it this time around, and I think I'll definitely be 100 percent next time I'm out there, so I hope," he said.
