Gordon hit .372 during the month and recorded multi-hit performances in 14 of his 26 games. The 23-year-old also doubled his season total by stealing 12 bases to finish the season tied for the National League-lead among all rookies, despite playing in just 56 games.
Entering the month, Gordon hadn't played since sustaining a right shoulder contusion in an Aug. 9 contest. He returned from the disabled list with a vengeance on Sept. 1, though, recording a pair of hits to start a 9-for-16 four-game spurt.
The Dodgers' fourth-round pick in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft had a handful of highlights in the season's final month. Along with the quick start to the month, Gordon had a career-high four hits on Sept. 8 and soon followed with a career-best 11-game hitting streak from Sept. 13-24. He capped off the impressive month similar to the way he started it, finishing with three consecutive multi-hit games to end the season.
Gordon finished the season hitting .304 with 11 RBIs, nine double and two triples in 56 games.
