Blue Jays re-acquire Jeroloman from Bucs
Claimed by Pittsburgh on Friday, catcher returns to active roster

Jeroloman was claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh on Friday, but his stint with the organization lasted just five days. Toronto now has 39 players on its 40-man active roster and likely will need to clear space to create room for more acquisitions in the coming weeks.
Jeroloman, 26, spent the vast majority of the 2011 season with Triple-A Las Vegas, hitting .240 with two homers and 26 RBIs in 79 games. He was called up to the big leagues in late August but was unable to get into a game during the final six weeks of the season.
Toronto is expected to lose veteran backup catcher Jose Molina via free agency this offseason. That could open up a spot on the active roster for Jeroloman, but a more likely scenario would see him back up Travis d'Arnaud -- the top prospect in the Blue Jays' system and No. 47 overall in baseball -- at Triple-A and provide more organizational depth.
