All-Star Game MLB.com Final Vote update #2
Yankees pitcher Robertson moves into second place in AL race; Freeman, Puig & Pence continue to pace National League candidates

NEW YORK – Fans have continued to cast ballots in the 2013 All-Star Game MLB.com Final Vote Sponsored by freecreditscore.com (#FinalVote) at a fevered pace with more than 17 million online votes cast in the past 24 hours alone, ultimately leading to 33.2 million votes entering Tuesday’s voting on MLB.com and the Club websites.

The jockeying continued in the American League as David Robertson continued his climb by rallying into second place, passing Koji Uehara. Steve Delabar continues to lead a tight race among all five candidates, including an 180,000-vote separation between Robertson, Uehara (3rd) and Joaquin Benoit (4th).
In the National League race, Freddie Freeman maintained a slim hold on the top spot he took as of the first Final Vote update. Freeman’s closest competitors, Yasiel Puig and Hunter Pence, continued to pace just behind him and are in prime striking distance with Thursday’s Twitter voting only 48 hours away. Ian Desmond and Adrian Gonzalez are in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

TWITTER VOTING RETURNS THURSDAY, JULY 11 ONLY
The All-Star Game MLB.com Final Vote Sponsored by freecreditscore.com will count Twitter support from fans over the last six hours of balloting toward candidates’ vote totals. From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, July 11, all tweets with a designated player hashtag will be tabulated as part of the official vote total used to determine the American League and National League winners. Fans will be able to follow @MLB on the popular social networking service for the latest standings updates over the course of the entire five-day voting period.
