Angels Minor Leaguer Ramirez Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Minor League catcher Carlos Ramirez has received a 100-game suspension without pay after a third positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Ramirez, who is currently on the roster of Triple-A Salt Lake Bees of the Pacific Coast League, will be effective at the start of the 2014 season.
