The suddenly anemic Mets offense has wasted an impressive five-start streak for Dickey, who has gone 0-3 despite posting a 1.89 ERA and never allowing more than three runs in any one outing. His strikeout to walk ratio is 22:7 over that stretch.

Jimenez will try to rebound after what was one of his poorer outings in what has otherwise been a magical season. On Saturday against the Phillies, the righty lasted just two innings, surrendering six earned runs.

Sanchez was in line for his eighth win when he took the mound last Saturday. But after a three-run lead disappeared, he was not involved in the decision. The team is closely watching his innings pitched. He has 115 1/3 right now after throwing 86 a year ago.

Kendrick proved to some that it was a mistake to demote him following his poor start in St. Louis. His inconsistency is still troubling: he's gone 6-plus innings and allowed two or fewer runs eight times; in his 11 other starts, he has an 8.73 ERA.

The Yankees had tabbed Sergio Mitre to make another turn in the rotation as a spot starter, but they've opted to go with Moseley instead. Moseley has a 4.22 ERA over 10 2/3 innings in four relief appearances but has held opponents to a .189 average.

The young righty has proved himself to be a legit big league pitcher lately. Over his last five starts, Mazzaro is 4-0 with a 2.12 ERA and a .202 batting average against. He picked up the decision in Saturday's 10-2 win vs. the White Sox, tossing six innings of two-run ball.

Wilson pitched arguably his best game of the season Friday, holding the Angels scoreless over eight innings while not walking a batter. In his only start against the A's this season, Wilson earned the no-decision after allowing only one run in seven innings of work.
